A good show starts prepared.

Install an App

1. Choose an App in the catalog and check its version and compatibility.
2. Select Install in ViXL Lite beta. Keep the version and hash in the link.
3. Let the installer finish downloading and verifying the package.
4. Open the App in ViXL Lite, configure a Scene and save it to your Show.
5. Prepare your Composition and Cue. Wait for READY before GO.

The Shop cannot see your runtime installation state. Preview cache and runtime installations belong to separate origins.

Back up your work

Save your Scene and Show in ViXL Lite. Use the runtime’s Show export, retain the downloaded file and test import into a separate test Show before relying on it.

Keep original media and a second copy of the Show outside the browser. Local browser storage can be cleared or evicted; browser sync is not a Show backup. Do not clear site data to fix a problem before protecting your work.

Check that an export actually produced a file. A Save confirmation alone does not verify a portable backup.

When something fails

Package download or verification: check the connection and available storage, then retry the same exact installer link. Do not bypass a hash mismatch.

Blank demo or graphics failure: enable WebGL2 / graphics acceleration in a supported desktop browser, close heavy graphics tabs and use Retry demo.

Not READY: inspect the runtime error and missing media. Auto Take does not bypass readiness. Rehearse before running a live show.

Known limits

• Cyber City’s complete large hosted download verification is still open.
• Physical output, long sessions and every browser/device combination are not certified.
• Check portable Show exports produce a usable file; an export guard issue remains under investigation.
• Viewer defaults are silent previews; you can explore their App settings. Live input, audio and media permissions belong in the runtime.

Report a problem

Record the App version, Shop or runtime build, browser and steps to reproduce. Copy the exact visible error. Capture a screenshot and retain your original Show backup.

Share that evidence through your existing ViXL support conversation. Do not include passwords, private media or credentials.

Public App discovery, six interactive test drives and beta installation. Type Studio and interactive App previews remain available through their App pages.

Accounts, cloud libraries and paid support are not active on this Shop release.
